Belinda

Belinda has a Masters Degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology, and extensive practical experience in working with children, adolescents and adults in a private practice setting. She has particular interest in behavioural, social, and emotional assessments and therapy for children and adolescents having difficulties with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, ADD/ADHD, school avoidance, social isolation, mood regulation, bullying and self esteem. 

Belinda offers sessions to parents focusing on child-discipline, parenting skills, management of difficult behaviours, complex family dynamics, and sibling rivalry.

Belinda also treats adults with anxiety, depression, chronic pain and poor self-esteem. 

Belinda uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. The therapeutic approach is usually eclectic and specifically designed to fit the clients needs. 

Belinda is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists. Her professional conduct is in strict adherence with the APS and AHPRA ethical guidelines. 

Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, Belinda has opted to provide therapy in the safest way possible to her clients by the use of platforms such as Whatsapp or Viber. Her work hours are flexible including outside office hours and weekends.

Natasha

Natasha

Natasha is a fully registered Psychologist with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology.

She has extensive experience as a psychologist, having worked in a range of clinical settings, including private practices, public and private hospitals and with community mental health teams.

At DevelopingSelf she provides evidence based psychological therapy, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),  to adults having difficulties with:

She enjoys working with a diverse range of clients, and is an accredited NSW Medicare and ATAPS Provider.  Natasha’s personal area of interest is in the mental health of young women, in particular those having difficulties with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. She is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and an Associate Member of the APS Clinical College. 

In addition to her work at DevelopingSelf, she is currently conducting a clinical trial at Macquarie University as part of her Doctorate Degree. The aim of this groundbreaking study is to investigate whether an antibiotic, known as D-Cycloserine, can enhance different types of exposure therapy for individuals with social anxiety.  To date, the research in this area has been very promising.
